Alternative Diagnosis
Naturopathic Medicine was begun by Christian men such as Father Kneipp, Henry Lindlahr, and Benedict Lust who were always observing and experimenting in order to develop an effective healing system. These mend were seeking to: 1) Discover a true understanding of physiology, mind, emotion, and spirit, 2) Carefully observe the effect of various foods, herbs, dilutions, combinations, manipulation, and energies on disease conditions, 3) Correlate body signs (fluids, movement, structure, color...) with the symptoms of disease and functional degradation from a state of optimum. In that tradition, modern researchers have pushed the limits of conventional methods and attempted to develop new effective systems of diagnosis and treatment that have not yet been understood according to the theories of conventional science of the day, nor had the statistical science fully applied to it with double blind, crossover studies that give it the credibility of evidence based medicine. Some of the diagnostic equipment and methods that fall into this category include:
Biomeridian: This equipment blends s high tech computer interface with the theories of homeopathy and Chinese medicine. The machine records the skin resistance, correlates that to the flow of life force through acupuncture points and meridians, and suggests remedies based upon the excess or deficiency of flow through each meridian.
